This Qualification Is Also Designed For Those Learners Wishing To Apply For A Licence From The Security Industry Authority (SIA) To Work As A Close Protection Operative (CPO). It Is Based On The Relevant SIA’s Specification For Learning And Qualifications

COURSE INFORMATION

This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to apply for a licence from the security industry authority (sia) to work as a close protection operative (cpo). It is based on the relevant sia’s specification for learning and qualification.

The 151 guided learning hours close protection course covers all aspects from theory to practical with multiple questions exam papers at the end of the course. You will be put through your paces from our highly experienced tutors, so prepare to train hard every single day. We finish the course with 3 days of final exercises protecting 3 types of clients that you will possibly come across in your future career, so this course really prepares you for medium and high risk and celebrity bodyguarding duties.

Course Assessment Method

To complete the level 3 certificate for close protection operatives in the private security industry, delegates must complete 3 modules.

This qualification is graded as pass/fail. To pass the close protection operative course you will have to pass multiple-choice examinations and practical assessments as follows:

Module 1 – principles of working as a close protection operative in the private security industry
Knowledge assessment: multiple-choice question examination made up of 52 questions (80 min.). Pass mark = 70%

Practical assessment: workbook. Pass mark = 100%

Module 2 – working as a close protection operative in the private security industry
Knowledge assessment: externally set workbook

Practical assessment: workbook portfolio of evidence. Pass mark = 100%

Module 3 – application of conflict management in the private security industry
Knowledge assessment: multiple-choice question examination made up of 20 questions (30 min.). Pass mark = 70%

Practical assessment: one practical scenario. Pass mark = 100%

Practical assessment: demonstration of every technique and question and answer session to cover critical areas of pi knowledge. Pass mark = 100%
